Amrita Devi Foundation is a registered trust under the Indian Trust Act 1882, established in 2019 with the primary objective of supporting Skill Development and Generating Employment Opportunities for girls and women and youth of Uttarakhand, and PAN India. The foundation aims to address the issue of migration from the hills of Uttarakhand by providing better skill development opportunities to women, enabling them to find employment within the state instead of moving to cities for a better quality of life.
The Foundation has been actively working towards the employment and livelihood of the people of Uttarakhand, and soon going to work for PAN India with a particular focus on women from remote areas. Through the Amrita Devi Women's Skill Development Institute, the foundation has set up Various institutes in rural areas of District Almora, Bageshwar and Pithoragarh and online platform. These institutes offer employment-oriented courses such as Computer Operator, Digital Marketing, and Tailoring, empowering women to become self-reliant. By acquiring these skills, the women can not only support themselves but also contribute to their family's financial needs, enabling them to remain in their villages.

The goal of this wing is to create a Sustainable Future by Nurturing the Environment, Providing Employment Opportunities to local communities, and promoting the Health and Wellbeing of villagers. Two significant initiatives under this wing are the "Smokeless Chulha" and "Afforestation" programs.

The "Afforestation" Initiative is to Plant sandalwood and economically beneficial tree species across Uttarakhand, Delhi NCR and beyond—while involving local communities in planting, maintenance, and protection efforts. Involves Planting around 1000 Sandalwood Trees in the Villages and Planted 500 saplings at Aravalli Hills in Delhi NCR. This not only contributes to the conservation of the Environment but also provides Economic Benefits to the Villages.
As the trees grow, the villagers can benefit from the sale of sandalwood, empowering them economically.
