Amrita Devi Foundation is a trust registered under the Indian Trust Act 1882 founded in 2019 with an objective to support skill development and bring employment for the Girls and Women in Uttarakhand, India.
With many people moving out of the hills of Uttarakhand and going towards cities to find a better quality of life, hills are deserted. One of the ways to deal with the situation is to provide better skill development to the women in the Hills so that they can find and build opportunities in Uttarakhand as opposed to moving out and moving towards cities.
We are working extensively for the employment and livelihood of the people of Uttarakhand. We have been focusing on the women of remote areas of Uttarakhand. We are working for women’s empowerment by providing them skill development training and making them independent so that they are able to not just help their own self but also the other members of their family too.
Amrita Devi Women’s Skill Development Institute has been established for this purpose. In a short span of time, we have been able to start Four such institutes in remote rural areas of District Almora, where women from rural areas are being trained in employment oriented related courses such as Computer Operator, Digital Marketing and Tailoring to make them self-reliant. This way they will be able to stay in their own village and at the same time, meet the financial needs of their family.
We believe all women can embrace who they are,
can define their future, and can change the world.
To provide skill development to Women in Uttarakhand through AMRITA DEVI WOMEN’S SKILL DEVELOPMENT INSTITUTE in Tailoring, Computer Operator and Digital Marketing.
To be an enabler for WOMEN in Uttarakhand to become independent and support their family and contribute in the upliftment of society
